Skoda Kushaq SUV
The Skoda presented a conceptual crossover Vision IN and from the beginning of 2021 the company began to declassify its serial embodiment, the SUV was named Kushaq, we have already seen both disguised test prototypes and design sketches. Now the brand has shown the interior of a commercial SUV. Recall that India will become the first and main market for the crossover production will also be established there and Skoda promises 95% localization.
The appearance of the serial crossover in comparison with the show car, of course, was simplified, but not so much. But there are more differences in the cabin, the front panel remains multi layered, but it does not float anymore, the silver decor was removed, but a carbon look finish appeared, the central tunnel was made standard, and instead of the joystick of the box a traditional lever. Well, and also the touchscreen of the multimedia system is now lower, although it is still stuck to the panel.
The steering wheel was also replaced, it is a two spoke. In the pictures, of course, the top end Kushaq such a crossover has a 10-inch tablet, virtual tidy and climate control. Also, the model provides six airbags, cruise control, rain and light sensors, a tire pressure monitoring system.
In India, the Skoda Kushaq crossover will be available with 1.0 TSI petrol turbo and 1.5 TSI turbo four. The power of the first engine has not yet been announced, the second produces 150 horsepower. Six-speed manual transmission and 7-speed DSG automatic. There is no diesel and will not be, as well as all-wheel drive only the front one.
Skoda has not yet announced the appearance of the Kushaq in other countries, but one of the previous press releases was titled Made for Peace in India. That is, it is quite possible that the cross will still be sold where Kamiq is not represented.
