Toyota Motor Philippines is launch subcompact sedan lineup by introducing the Vios GR-Sport. Toyota gave us all quite a surprise when they unveiled the Vios GR-Sport. We were expecting it to come out in 2021, but it seems that they could not wait much longer and debuted it just before the end of 2020 in Malaysia.
The Vios GR-Sport comes equipped with front, and rear bumper skirts, side skirts, and a subtle rear spoiler. It also flaunts a mesh grille up front, as well as piano black door handles, and side mirror housings. The GR-Sport is more than a Vios with a body kit. It is not common when a sport edition gets a new transmission, but that is exactly what this model has. While it does not have a manual transmission, it now boasts a continuously variable transmission with ten simulated gears. The Vios has seven-speeds as standard.
The interior, you will be greeted by suede and synthetic leather seats and a generous amount of red stitching has been added to components like the leather wrapped steering wheel, seats, and shift knob. In terms of features, you are looking at paddle shifters, a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a six speaker sound setup, automatic A/C, a rear parking monitor, push to start ignition and seven airbags. This is the best Toyota has to offer when it comes to its subcompact sedan.
The Vios GR-Sports gets sports seats with thicker bolsters to keep the front passengers in place. For a sportier look, red stitching is found all around the cabin including the steering wheel, shift lever, and seats. The Vios GR-S is only available in three colors, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Super Red V, and black.
The prices for the 2021 Toyota Vios GR Sport start at Php 1,020,000.
