Under the hood, there is a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that makes 518 horsepower and 625 Newton meters of torque. It runs through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This setup gets the eight cylinder powered Defender to 96 kilometers per hour in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 240 kilometers per hour.
These features include the new Terrain Response Dynamic Cross Mode, which allows you to drive over rough terrain at high speeds and an electronically controlled active rear differential. In the suspension, the characteristics of the air struts were revised, thicker anti roll bars and more rigid silent blocks were installed.
The visual differences between the Defender V8 and the less powerful versions boil down to a four barrel exhaust with tuned sound, blue brake calipers, a semi-matt protective film of the body that protects it from scratches and 22-inch wheels, although 20-inch wheels can be chosen.
Inside, there is an Alcanatra upholstered steering wheel, additional chrome trim and an 11.4-inch screen for the Pivi Pro multimedia system instead of a 10-inch one.
