2022 ALL NEW HYUNDAI STARIA

HYUNDAI STARIA

The new Hyundai Staria name combines "star" and "ria" in reference to the future oriented product values and streamlined design characteristics. Staria offers a strikingly futuristic and mysterious design, resembling a spaceship, and space innovation such as: One curve gesture silhouettes as well as clean and pure body volume. Long horizontal daytime running light and lower headlamps. Expansive panoramic windows and lower belt lines, underscoring the openness of the interior. The images show the Staria Premium a high end variant of the model.

From the side, it has massive windows that take up more than half of the flanks. It also has gentle fender flares and a very upright rear section. At the rear, there are tall vertical taillights mounted high for maximum visibility. Hyundai says the preview features the Premium Edition so those lights might be different from lower spec variants.

Those massive windows bring in a lot of natural light into the cabin, giving the impression of more space inside. It also has a wide dashboard with a floating infotainment system and a dash mounted electro mechanical gear selector. There is leather all over the cabin. It also comes with ambient lighting from front to back. Hyundai seems to be aiming high with the luxury model. The Premium Edition has a pair of Ottoman seats in the second row instead of a bench.

This models are going to have their work cut out for them in terms of cabin quality. Greeted by light colored materials and very comfortable looking seats. The center row features a pair of nice captain chairs, while the front area gets a large floating touchscreen interface and cozy ambient lighting.

Hyundai is no mention of the engine options. There is a strong chance that these will come with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel used in the Santa Fe. Should Hyundai de tune that engine, it should have at least 177 PS to keep it on par with its chief rival the Toyota Hiace.

Hyundai says we can expect more of the Staria to be revealed in the coming weeks, so that is definitely something to watch out for.
