In the United States, the Volkswagen three-row crossover was updated last year, where it is called Atlas. In the China model is known under the name Teramont, the modernized SUV is just preparing for the premiere and in terms of design, it has noticeably moved away from the option for other countries. The SAIC Volkswagen joint venture is responsible for the production for the China. We have seen their crossover without a patch of camouflage on photos of the Ministry of Industry, but now branded pictures have been published, it turned out that the differences are even greater.
The Chinese Volkswagen Teramont also received new headlights, but they are still divided into two parts, while our cross has narrower optics. The model retained the rectangular front grille, in the USA it sagged, but at the same time, along with the headlights, it is now pierced by an LED strip, such a line was not visible in the photographs of the certification body. The Volkswagen emblem also glows. The celestial version also got other bumpers and discs, its taillights are made in the form of a single wide plate and the brand logo located on top of it also glows, only this time in red. The length of the Chinese crossover has grown by 13mm to 5052mm, the wheelbase is the same 2980mm.
The US Atlas have acquired a different steering wheel and an upgraded multimedia system, plus the design of the virtual dashboard has been changed. The Chinese specialized media believe that the interior of their model will change in about the same way.
