Nissan X-Trail

The new Nissan X-Trail they will be offered a model with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a variable compression ratio.

The new generation Nissan crossover debuted last year, but so far such a model is only available in North America, where it bears the name Rogue. The fourth X-Trail, produced by the joint venture Dongfeng and Nissan, was photographed in China. And now fresh images have appeared, they have been added to the base of the Ministry of Industry of the People's Republic of China, in addition, the main characteristics have become known. The previous Chinese model from the global one in terms of design is almost no different, so the next world, X-Trail is likely to be the same.

The new Nissan X-Trail repeated the American brother, the only difference is in the details. In particular, mountings for the license plate appeared in front, the rear bumper and lights were retouched and the X-Trail inscription flaunts on the tailgate instead of Rogue. As in the US, the model will be offered with a two tone paint job and a panoramic roof. The X-Trail interior has not been exposed yet, but it is probably the same as the Rogue. The list of equipment of the latter includes a virtual tidy, a multimedia system with a floating tablet, a projection display, a three zone climate control, and a complex of safety systems Safety Shield 360, all this good will certainly be in the global crossover.

The Chinese Nissan X-Trail will be offered with a new 1.5 VC Turbo petrol engine, with a variable compression ratio, designated as KR15 in the documents of the Ministry of Industry, it produces 204 horsepower and 300Nm of torque. Some media outlets write that this is a three-cylinder engine, although the certification body does not indicate the number of cylinders. The crossover will be available with all-wheel drive. In the United States, the new Rogue has a different engine, 184 horsepower aspirated 2.5-L with direct injection, it works in tandem with a variator.

The new generation crossover can be presented at the Shanghai Motor Show, which will open in April. By the end of this year, the versions for other countries will probably also be declassified. The new X-Trail is unlikely to appear in 2021.
