2022 Hyundai Kona N Revealed With 276 HP, Dual-Clutch Transmission

Hyundai Kona N: up to 279 hp, but only front-wheel drive in combination with Dual-Clutch Transmission.

Hyundai continues to expand its range of sports N models and all of them so far, despite the global trend towards electrification, gasoline, emitting a large amount of CO2 into the air, from which, as many believe, the apocalyptic climate change is taking place.

The small SUV also boasts a stiffened suspension, crisp-shifting eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox and snappy new duds to set it apart from other members of the Kona family. The Kona N equipped with 2.0-liter four already appears in the Veloster N, where it exhibits plenty of low end torque, minimal turbo lag and a zesty exhaust note worthy of a performance car. It also makes 81 horsepower and 127 Newton meter of torque more than the turbocharged 1.6-liter four found in the Kona N Line and Limited trims. The company’s “N Grin Shift” temporary overboost punches power up to 286 ponies (213 kW) at the push of a button, perfect for launches or quick passes. Hyundai claims a 62-mile-per-hour sprint of 5.5 seconds, with a top speed of 149.

The Kona N will get an eight-speed wet dual clutch transmission. A manual transmission likely will not be available in the Kona N, nor will all wheel drive. A front lip spoiler and split rear wing atop the hatch provide added downforce, as do reshaped side skirts. Body colored wheel arches, borrowed from the less aggressive Kona N Line, keep it all in the family. An aggressive wheel design suits the small SUV exuberant styling perfectly.

Inside, supportive looking front bucket seats feature microfiber suede seat faces and faux leather inserts, looking as comfortable here as the similarly shaped seats of the Sonata N Line. The 2022 Kona N gets Performance Blue accents applied liberally throughout the interior, including the steering wheel mounted drive mode selector, DCT gear selector and cupholder rings. A chunky steering wheel and metal pedals look the part and should feel nice to use as well and a hand operated parking brake is a nice.

The N gets a 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as an identically sized infotainment screen. The Kona N will have a full complement of active safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane follow assistance, active high beams, blind spot collision prevention, and adaptive cruise control.

The 2022 Hyundai Kona N will arrive on the market before the end of the year. Pricing has not yet been announced.

The Great Wall Motors has released the new Great Wall X-PAO pickup at Shanghai Auto Show 2021.

The Great Wall PAO is a range of mid size pick ups manufactured in China by the Chinese manufacturer Great Wall Motors since 2019, and due to be built in Thailand as the GWM P-Series and GWM Cannon for markets such as Thailand, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

The PAO is available in three different set ups initially, including the standard passenger model, the off-road model, and the commercial model. An electric version was also revealed but was not available at launch.

The Great Wall Motors has released the new Great Wall X-PAO pickup truck at Shanghai Auto Show 2021. This all new pickup is built on the TANK platform, equipped with front and rear double wishbone, four-wheel independent suspension, and an optional air suspension, plus electronically controlled shock absorber system.

The new pickup is expected to be equipped with a 3.0T is matched with a 9-speed automatic transmission. In the future, competitors will directly point to such ultra large luxury pickups such as Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra and Dodge Ram.

2021 Great Wall HAVAL BIG DOG Modified Edition

2022 Geely Xingyue L

The exterior, it exemplifies the brands so called accelerating through time and space aesthetic. In a world where we often see automakers applying their own philosophy to roughly the same SUV silhouette, the latest offering from Geely is very much a bespoke vehicle. The only moderate similarity can be spotted in the rear lightbar, that connects the brake lights.

The inside. Along with level two autonomous driving capabilities, the vehicle also comes with a completely unmanned automated valet system. Details remain sparse, but the Xingyue L can search for spots and park itself within a 200 meter area. Geely says this is possible thanks to a joint strike force of 12 ultrasonic radars, 5 millimeter wave radars, 4 high definition surround view cameras, 1 monocular camera, 1 dashcam, 1 interior camera, and 24 environmental sensors.

Under the hood, the Xingyue L will have a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine with 215 horsepower, jointly developed by Volvo and Geely. Buyers will also have the option to spec, a tuned version of the same powerplant with 235 horsepower. Power will then be sent to all-four wheels via BorgWarners sixth generation four-wheel drive system.

The SUV will to be launched in Chinese markets and plans to go global in the near future.

2022 SAIC Roewe Jing

SAIC Roewe new SUV named Jing, made its debut at Auto Shanghai 2021.

The "Jing" stands for whale, the font grille vaguely resembling a whale mouth. The car follows the design philosophy known as emotional rhythm. As the first product of the new series of Roewe, the Jing will assume the responsibility of accelerating the process of brand rejuvenation, personalization and promoting brand upgrading. It boasts narrow LED lights with chunky corner lenses upfront. And its swoopy overall design matches up with common crossover trends.

This is actually a near production concept, showcasing what is to come but the whale connection is certainly no accident. The vertical bars of the grille most decidedly resemble a whales underside and in case you are wondering about the traditional Chinese characters on the license plate, it is a stylized version of Jing. At least the automaker totally owns the whale connection.

The production versions looking very similar to this concept will hit the market later this year. Specifics on powertrain are not known, though reports say it will not be a purely electric offering. Plug-in hybrid and standard internal combustion versions will be available, though information on output is not announced just yet. A related model with a fully electric powertrain will enter the market as well, though it likely will not share the same striking face.

The Jing should hold the position of flagship in Roewe lineup. No information on possible pricing or features and being a product of SAIC, it will almost certainly remain a product for the Chinese market.

Huawei says it has helped automotive company Seres with the development of the powertrain, which consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors. The combined output of the system is reportedly about 550 horsepower, which should be enough for a 0-100 kilometers per hour acceleration in just 4.7 seconds.

Huawei promises the plug in hybrid can travel up to 180 kilometers on purely electric energy, though it is important to note that this is measured by China somewhat generous test cycle. With the battery fully charged and the fuel tank full the SF5 should be capable of a range of over 1,000 kilometer in extended range mode for long distance travelers.

Huawei is already accepting orders for the SF5 in the Peoples Republic with prices starting at 246,800 Chinese yuans, for the 4WD model and 216,800 Chinese yuans for the 2WD variant.

2021 Ford Focus ST-3 price and specs

The 2021 Ford Focus ST-3 price and specs, updated ST-1 and ST-3 will be on sale in 2021.

The 2021 Ford Focus ST-3 has been revealed for Australia. Just 200 will be offered, adding a selection of luxury features to the Blue Ovals.

Standard safety features include autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, rear parking sensors, and a 180 degree reversing camera. It also features blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert, which will be reintroduced on both Focus ST-1 and ST-3 models from later in 2021.

The Standard performance features, include 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres, a limited slip front differential, adaptive dampers, 330mm front and 302mm ventilated brake discs, three drive modes, and launch control.

The 2021 Ford Focus ST-3 will reach in the fourth quarter of 2021. Pricing starts at $47,990 before on-road costs, with prestige paint a $650 option.

2021 New Generation Nissan X-Trail

The steering wheel will be equipped with a professional pilot system, but it is unknown whether it is a manufacturers option or standard equipment. The area around the center console is extremely simple and this point does not seem to be much different from the new Rogue. The seat will be a genuine leather type, but it is unclear if a premium grade with diamond stitching like the new Rogue will be added.

The new X-Trail for the Chinese market is scheduled to be sold in the Chinese market in the second half of 2021.

The optional engine is a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder it produces 275 horsepower and 420 Newton-meters of torque. It uses an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, that includes steering wheel mounted paddle shifters for manually changing gears. All-wheel-drive is standard and the turbo model can 2,268 kilograms.

The Interior, Santa Cruz almost completely repeated the Tucson SUV comes standard with an eight-inch infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The pickup got the traditional gear lever instead of buttons, plus a box appeared under the rear seats. Also in the Kodiaq lineup there is a 2.0-liter TDI turbodiesel, with 150 or 200 horsepower. The basic gasoline engine comes with a six-speed manual transmission. Depending on powertrain selection, buyers can order the SUV with a seven speed DSG automatic with two clutches and optional all-wheel-drive.

The Skoda Kodiaq new facelift will go on sale in Europe from July.
