The New generation Nissan X-Trail: turbo-triple, e-Power hybrid.
The Nissan crossover moved to a new generation back in 2020, but then we are talking about a version for North America called Rogue. At the Shanghai Motor Show 2021 in China, which will be held from April 19, 2021. Nissan fully remodeled version the new X-Trail.
Nissan's original V-motion grille, honeycomb shaped mesh grille, and split type LED daytime independent of the front headlights, while having the same look as the new Rogue sold for the North American market. A lot of Nissan's identity such as running lights is adopted.
The body style is an off road chic middle sized SUV with compact unpainted black fender moldings on the front and rear fenders, black and silver dual tone aluminum wheels, as standard equipment. Furthermore, the body color is a gray system that enhances the off road look, but the black roof is also sporty.
At the rear, The X-Trail name badge is affixed to the center of the rear tailgate, 300 VC Turbo and 4x4i are on the lower left and the badge that seems to be Dongfeng Nissan is on the lower right. According to Nissan official press release, the specific powertrain is equipped with a 1.5-liter small in-line 3-cylinder VC turbo engine, plus e-POWER, and the total system output of 205 horsepower and 300 Newton-meters of torque. For the American market Rogue, it is equipped with a 2.5-liter in-line 4-cylinder naturally aspirated engine.
The interior, If you look closely, you can see that it has a wide display and air conditioner panel that are clearly different from the new Rogue for the North American market. The Rogue is equipped with a navigation display of up to 9 inches and the air conditioner related uses physical switches and dials. For the Chinese market, The navigation display is super wide and advanced with 10 inches or 12.3 inches.
The steering wheel will be equipped with a professional pilot system, but it is unknown whether it is a manufacturers option or standard equipment. The area around the center console is extremely simple and this point does not seem to be much different from the new Rogue. The seat will be a genuine leather type, but it is unclear if a premium grade with diamond stitching like the new Rogue will be added.
The new X-Trail for the Chinese market is scheduled to be sold in the Chinese market in the second half of 2021.
