A new version of the "five-door" Lynk & Co 02 is being prepared for the start of sales.
The new version of the five-door Lynk & Co 02 Hatchback is based on Lynk & Co 02 Crossover, but the body is lowered and the Hatchback sports design is adopted. In this version, the model has lost its off road body kit but has acquired a more powerful engine. The overall shape is very handsome.
The body kit is still there, but it is now painted in body color. Lynk & Co 02 Hatchback also got new bumpers and four tailpipes instead of two on the cross hatch. The new Hatchback received 19-inch wheels. The length of the new version is 4,458 mm which is 10 mm longer than that of the Crossover, the wheelbase is the same 2,702 mm. The suspension has been reconfigured and the ground clearance has been reduced.
On the side, the biggest difference between the new car and the current model is that the black wheel eyebrows on the front and rear fenders, have been modified to the same color design as the body, which improves the overall sense of the side of the new car and weakens the crossover attributes of the new car. At the same time, the new car is also equipped with a brand new dense spoke wheel shape, with a more dynamic visual effect.
The rear part, shows that the new car has a small spoiler at the end of the roof. The taillight is still an inverted L shape and the middle is linked by a bright black decorative panel to form a penetrating effect. The rear enclosure of the new car adopts a layered design, which echoes the shape of the front enclosure and a small diffuser is also equipped under the enclosure. It is worth mentioning that the new car will be provided with orange paint, with a lower body height, wide body sports enclosure and a four sided exhaust design, the overall body posture is more sporty.
In terms of power configurations, the new car will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, produces a maximum of 254 horsepower and 350 Newton meters of torque. In terms of transmission, it is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission from Aisin. According to the official, the 0-100 kilometer per hour acceleration in 6.2 seconds. The car uses front-wheel drive.
The interior is still classified, but the interior of the 02 Hatchback most likely differs from the standard.
Lynk & Co 02 Hatchback, will enter the Chinese market in the near future. Outside of China, the Lynk & Co brand will get out this year. Prices have not yet been announced.
