New V-12 Supercar—And Yes, It Has a Manual

A new V-12 supercar has emerged—indeed, it features a manual transmission.

The Garagisti & Co GP1 boasts an impressive 800 horsepower and is a rear-wheel-drive hypercar equipped with a stick shift. Only 25 units will be produced.

This new electric supercar, with its astonishing horsepower capabilities, accelerates to 60 miles per hour in utter silence. This is why the GP1, from the British newcomer Garagisti and Co, is poised to excite car enthusiasts everywhere, even though it currently exists only as a digital rendering.

The GP1 is designed around a naturally aspirated V12 engine, which is coupled with a manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. At its heart lies a brand new 6.6-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, developed by Italtecnica, delivering an impressive 800 horsepower at 9,000 RPM and torque exceeding 516 pound-feet.
