2022 New Geely Crossover

Geely Crossover

The new Geely crossover has shared not only Volvo technology with the Tugella coupe. The Chinese SUV is similar to the model of the Swedish brand, but inside they installed three screens. The front passenger has its own touchscreen. The manufacturer himself has so far revealed only the design of the novelty, but the main characteristics have long been merged by the Chinese Ministry of Industry.

The SUV was known under the in house index KX11 and now the brand name for the home market has been announced Xingyue L. The cars are built on the Compact Modular Architecture, created by the Chinese together with Volvo, the same platform is at the heart of the Geely Preface sedan, most of the Lynk and Co brand cars a joint project of Geely and Volvo.

It is assumed that the Geely KX11 will be available in a three row version. The previous spy photo of the interior created the illusion that the crossover received a multimedia system with a touchscreen stretched almost the entire width of the front panel. Now you can see that there are two screens, although both are hidden under a single glass. It is curious that the third display, the same tidy, does not adjoin the rest. By the way, Volvo models do not have a separate screen for the front passenger yet.

The new SUV will be offered with a 2.0 gasoline turbo four, familiar from other models of the Geely holding. The engine has two power options, the version with the 4G20TDJ index produces 218 horsepower, the 4G20TDB produces 238 horsepower. No boxes listed. The Chinese media predict an eight-speed automatic transmission for the novelty and the cross can also be offered with a seven speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. Later, the SUV can still get a hybrid installation. But whether the Xingyue L has four wheel drive is unknown.

Some media believe that the Geely crossover will celebrate its public premiere in April at the Shanghai Auto Show. The new SUV will certainly be sent for export, but apparently by the end of 2021.
