The 2022 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer With Large Grille And All-New Interior.
The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is a two-row compact MPV. The closely related BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer is a longer three row version. The compact luxury MPV gets a giant kidney grille sending strong X7 vibes and flanked by sleeker LED headlights optionally available with adaptive matrix tech. At the back, the exhaust tip has been integrated below the bumper to enable a cleaner look and the taillights are now slimmer to lend the people mover a more modern appearance.
The interior has been completely redesigned to accommodate BMW iDrive 8 operating system, now with a 10.25-inch digital drivers display and a 10.7-inch touchscreen for the infotainment. The rear seats move forward by up to 13 centimeters and can be folded in a 40/20/40 layout.
For the powertrains, the lineup starts with a 218i model with a turbocharged 1.5-liter producing 136 horsepower and 230 Newton meters of torque. For the 220i and the three pot churns 170 horsepower and 280 Newton meters of torque. The four cylinder 223i model uses a larger 2.0-liter with 218 horsepower and 360 Newton meters of torque. All send power to the front wheels through a seven speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission.
BMW 2 Series Active Tourer will go on sale from February 2022.
