2022 All-New Toyota Tundra

All-New Toyota Tundra The Biggest Rival of Ford F-150 Raptor.

An all-new Tundra is coming soon. Reengineered with uncompromising power and loaded with advanced tech, the body on frame beast is eager to hit the road roaring. The biggest rival of Ford F-150 Raptor.

We have seen just a few small tidbits since then with the most recent being a super short video showing a generic engine cover. We cannot help wondering if Toyota will ramp up its teaser campaign now that the several images claiming to show the entire truck have blown up the internet.

These images claim to show a spiffed up TRD Pro version. The light bar in the grille and the edgy L-shaped headlights also match, what we have previously seen. The bold TRD Pro stamping in the tailgate fits with current industry trends but looking closely at the gate we see what looks like camera eyes flanking the grab handle up high. There is certainly no reason to believe Toyota will not outfit its first all new Tundra in 15 years with some decent tech.

The aforementioned engine teaser supports rumors that a twin turbocharged 3.5 liter V6 will serve under the hood. We have also heard a hybrid powertrain will be offered, but Toyota has already confirmed the new Tundra base engine will be more powerful than the current 5.7 liter V8. That thirsty mill generates 381 horsepower so the next gen Tundra should not be hurting for power.

The Ford Ranger was the one of best selling truck, leaving way behind the Toyota Hilux. The automaker is celebrating the pickup success with the launch of a new limited edition Ranger model based on the flagship Ranger Raptor trim.

The most distinctive visual upgrades have to be the twin matte black racing stripes with red contrast lines, which extend from the hood through the roof to the lower body sides, rear wings, and tailgate. The wider wheel arches together with the front and rear bumpers, door handles, and radiator grille, are finished in matte black, while the front tow hooks are in a contrasting red color.

Inside the cabin, the performance truck feels a little sportier, red stitching for the steering wheel, instrument panel, and door cards. There is also a model exclusive leather upholstery, and a Special Edition only Raceway Grey instrument panel.

The chassis to the powertrain remains unchanged under the skin, though that is not bad news given the Ranger Raptor 150mm wider track and 51mm taller ride height compared to a regular Ranger. Powering the truck is a 2.0 liter twin-turbo Eco Blue diesel engine and mated to a 10 speed automatic gearbox.

Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior

Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior Is An Ranger Raptor Fighter.

The Nissan Navara and the gnarly looking new PRO-4X variant made their debut last year, many were not impressed with the new top spec trim. That is mainly because of the purely aesthetic upgrades in the PRO-4X unlike the off road focused Frontier PRO-4X counterpart that is available in the United States.

The PRO-4X Warrior is of course based on the variant namesake. However, details are scarce at this point since the new model is currently in its final testing phase. The Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior will be getting a redesigned bumper and upgraded protection underneath. Extended fender flares are also in order, as well as beefier tires and more standard off roading equipment.

The Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior is bound to become a Ford Ranger Raptor fighter, but of course, we have yet to see the details so we are reserving our judgment.

At this point, the Nissan Navara PRO-4X Warrior seems to be an exclusive model for the Australian market. There is not a guarantee that it will be available in countries where the Navara is available.
